Bart Lootsma, Alexa Baumgartner and Maya Christodoulaki curated the exhibition Radical Austria, on the Austrian avantgarde of the nineteen sixties and early seventies in the Design Museum in Den Bosch. The exhibition, subtitled Everything is Architecture, for the first time features art, clothing, design and architecture in one show, which is one of the first and biggest of it’s kind. It is the result of seven years of research at the Institute for Architectural Theory and History at the University of Innsbruck, in which also many students have participated. It has been designed by Dutch office DeVrijerVanDongen and will be on display from May 26 to October 3, 2021. Realized in partnership between architecturaltheory.eu and the Design Museum, the exhibition will also have several web presences, among which an extensive film program with films on our website architecturaltheory.tv, texts and images on architecturaltheory.txt, and the so-called Third Floor on designmuseum.nl. Also Bart Lootsma’s regular lecture series Architectural Theory 2 and architectural Theory M, featured on architecturaltheory.tv, are part of the project this year.
